Phase I Concepts
From the problem statements, very broad and open concept solutions are created for various problems to represent possible avenues to take for each problem. Ideas are posted on the wall for discussion and several post-it notes are tagged onto each idea with people's rankings and comments.

Further pursued ideas: From the original batch of ideas, selected favorites from others are chosen to explore further. Each idea is further developed until one concept stands out from the rest.
Car
Problem:
With so many communication devices entering the motor vehicle, accidents are prone to happen when a phone call or advertisement suddenly appears at an inappropriate time.

Solution:
Create a localized monitor manager within the cars networked system that permits only certain amounts of incoming information based on the status car and driver, road conditions, traffic, current distractions, weather, etc. Information would be allowed to transmit while at a stop sign, open roads, parking, safe zones, etc.

Monitor
Problem:
Computers and technology isolate families from communicating with each other. It creates an environment in which speaking to a person using a computer is hard or annoying to do.

Solution:
Somehow create computers or software that is capable of multiple users simultaneously. Perhaps having two keyboards and two separate cursors on one screen to share. Surf the net with a family member rather than looking over their shoulder. Maybe having a see-through monitor that allowed seeing another family member while surfing together.

Diagnostic
Problem:
When a major home appliance malfunctions or has some type of problem, the house owner usually does not know how to repair/fix it. A repairman is usually contacted just to check it out. The repairs usually cost quite a bit of money, even for the simplest problems. Sometimes homeowners are not aware of a malfunction of some sort that may be dangerous or costing them more money. The thought of a malfunction of any sort is stressful.

Solution:
Create a central diagnostic monitoring system that notifies the proper people; whether it being the landlord or a repair shop, as soon as a malfunction or break occurs. Notified people then respond immediately by traveling over or by phone, dependant on the problems affect. The system displays the problem, solution, and if needed, seeks professional help automatically. Daily power usage of every single networked appliance is displayed so that a person knows what the monthly bills will be. This product also acts as a fraud protector, displaying the problem, average cost, or means of repairing it.

Pen-cell
Problem:
Technology has become a device for the storage of information rather than using our own memory, and without this info we become lost. With technology becoming the means of our memory we produce less brain, mind exercise or activity that creates less stimulation, brain activity. Exercising the mind is just as important as exercising anything else. As one ages the means of exercising the brain becomes very important. How can the use of technology become ones use of memory storage without the means of diminishing ones own use of storage with their own mind?

Solution:
Throughout research, a study found that writing out images, numbers, or letters helped improve ones memory by means of actively doing something and by seeing visually a set of images related to their action. Create a cell phone or perhaps a PDA that to input information or even to retrieve information one only needs to write it out.
